Jülide Kaya

ABOUT THE PERSON

Jülide Kaya studied law at the University of Bonn. She specialised in “Economics and Competition” and obtained the certificate “IP, IT and Media Law” during her studies. After her first state examination, she worked as a research assistant in IT and data protection law at an international commercial law firm in Cologne.

 

Jülide Kaya completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Bonn. She worked at the Federal Office of Justice in Bonn, an international commercial law firm in Cologne and at the Federal Centre for the Protection of Children and Young Persons in the Department for the Legal Protection of Minors in the Media. During all of these positions, she deepened her knowledge of IT, data protection and media law.

 

After successfully completing her second state examination, she joined LLR’s Cologne office in autumn 2022, where she primarily deals with IT law, digitalisation and data protection law. Her focus is on advising on IT law and data protection issues. She also advises in the areas of social media law and gaming law. Since 2023, she has also been certified as a Data Protection Officer at the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity at Maastricht University.

 

Since 2023, Jülide Kaya has been a lecturer for legal issues of digitalisation at the Faculty of Economics and Law at the TH Cologne.

 

When Jülide Kaya is not working, she spends time with family and friends, listens to music and podcasts or explores new countries and cultures.
